Detective Senior Constable David Freeman is a detective in the Financial and Cyber Crime Group – Financial Crime Unit. He has worked with the Queensland Police Service for fifteen years in general duties, child protection investigations, firearm and property crime taskforces, policing areas throughout the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, Logan, and the Gold Coast. David has external qualifications in financial services and finance, and is a specialist in financial crime, investigating fraud against individuals, corporations, and Government.
Simon Phillips
Financial and Cyber Crime Group – Cybercrime Unit – QPS
Detective Senior Constable Simon Phillips is a detective in the Financial and Cyber Crime Group – Cybercrime Unit, with twenty years of experience, he has also policed in Logan and Ipswich districts in property crime, tactical crime, and homicide investigations. The Queensland Police Cybercrime unit deal in technology enabled, cyber offending, cryptocurrency, and emerging crime trends. Simon has had extensive experience in online enabled identity fraud, card skimming, boiler rooms and international crime syndicates.
