We’re pleased to advise member companies of the current and upcoming beneficial improvements to BICB systems:

ATO TAX DEBT DEFAULTS

Commencing today, the ATO Tax Debt Defaults will be shown on the Alares portion of the Risk Tracker reports. Below is an example:

A project is scheduled to commence in October 2024 allowing BICB to create Red Flag Alerts for new ATO Tax Debt Defaults and updates to existing default data. It’s due for completion mid-November 2024.

Whilst larger member companies obtain this data via other means, our SME Members do not have access to this data and it is important if we can supply it, we do.

QBCC LICENCE STATUS

Another project is currently under development. It will automatically update the status of QBCC licence data held in the BICB database as well as match QBCC licences to debtors without a QBCC Licence registered in the Members Portal.

The data available is for all current and suspended licences. Therefore, all licence data held in BICB Members Portal, which does not automatically data match in the QBCC file, will be marked Cancelled and a Red Flag will be created to notify members. It’s due for completion mid-August 2024.

MEMBERS ATB SELF UPLOAD

This project is currently underway allowing members to load their Debtors Aged Trial Balances directly into BICB application every month.

This facility will be tested by BICB Member Services Team from August to October. Following the internal testing, the implementation will be staggered across the members who chose to opt in for this facility.

VBA LICENCE STATUS

Following negotiations with the Victorian Building Authority, all VBA licence data will now be available to BICB. This project is currently under development.

It will automatically update the status of existing VBA licence data held in the BICB database. It will also match via ABN’s any VBA licences to debtors without a licence registered in the Members system.

The VBA has provided data for active, suspended and cancelled licences and therefore all licence data held in BICB Members Portal will be updated monthly for the first couple of months and then convert to weekly updates – this is a VBA requirement.

A Red Flag will be created to notify members of any VBA licence that is suspended or cancelled. At this stage this project is due to commence before December 2024.
